Marrecus Garrett, a 34-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on December 10, 2014, in the Marquette Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Garrett was sitting in a parked vehicle around 8:45 a.m. when another vehicle approached, and someone opened fire, striking him multiple times.
