On the evening of January 6, 2025, 18-year-old African American male Derrick Rogers was fatally shot in a parking lot at 3300 Arlington Avenue in south Toledo, Ohio. Responding to a 'shots fired' call around 9:30 p.m., Toledo police officers discovered Derrick Rogers deceased at the scene, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
