In May 2020, the life of 25-year-old Skylar Cain Ware, a biracial man, took a dark and mysterious turn when he vanished from Kansas City, Missouri. His mother, Saundra Sheppard, grew deeply concerned after weeks of uncharacteristic silence from her son and reported him missing.
