David Andrew Gaines, a 62-year-old Black man from Columbus, Ohio, tragically lost his life on January 6, 2021. He was found suffering from a gunshot wound at the Sunoco station on East Hudson Street early in the morning and was later pronounced dead at Grant Medical Center. The incident occurred around 3:18 a.m., and Gaines was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries at 4:19 a.m.
