Frederick Taylor, a 45-year-old African American man, was fatally shot on January 30, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred in the Hilltop area, specifically in the 600 block of Butler Avenue. Columbus police responded to reports of a shooting just after 10 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found Frederick Taylor suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate efforts to render aid, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:10 a.m. by Columbus Division of Fire medics.
