On October 16, 2018, Jamareil Tamonte Caldwell, an 18-year-old Black male from Columbus, OH, was tragically killed in a shooting incident. At approximately 2:37 a.m., Columbus Police officers responded to a call about a male lying in the parking lot at the rear of 1551 Bryden Road. Upon arrival, they found Caldwell unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:45 a.m.
