On September 10, 2022, at approximately 3:40 p.m., 38-year-old Charles Marshall, a Black male, was found with a gunshot wound in the 600 block of Platt Street in East Toledo, Ohio. Emergency responders transported him to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. The Lucas County Coroner's Office determined that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the groin, which pierced the femoral artery, and ruled the death a homicide.
