Irin Nelson Anderson, an 18-year-old from Toledo, Ohio, tragically lost his life on August 3, 2024, due to gun violence. Born on February 16, 2006, in Sylvania, Ohio, Irin was a student at the Maritime Academy. His death has deeply affected the local community, prompting vigils and expressions of grief from classmates and educators alike. A gathering at the Maritime Academy drew over 100 attendees who came together to honor his memory and support one another in the wake of this tragedy.
