On September 19, 2022, 18-year-old Pliasi Coker was found dead in a home in the 3700 block of Kershaw Avenue in west Toledo, Ohio. The circumstances surrounding his death were unusual and raised many questions. Coker's body was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds to the head, and the death was ruled a homicide. The home where he was found did not belong to him, and neither his family nor the homeowner knew why he was there.
