Norman Antoine Gilmore, a 26-year-old Black male, was tragically shot and killed on February 2, 2006, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred at approximately 2:47 AM in front of the Liquid Lounge nightclub located at 129 West Trade Street. Upon arrival, officers and medical personnel found Norman Gilmore suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to Carolinas Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 3:04 AM.
Witnesses reported that Norman Gilmore was seen talking with a Black female outside the nightclub shortly before the incident. He was then shot by a Black male who subsequently drove off with the female in a white Jeep Cherokee. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Violent Crimes Division Homicide Cold-Case Unit has been investigating the case, but no arrests have been made, and the case remains unsolved.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case. Despite the passage of time, the investigation remains active, and authorities continue to seek any information that could help solve the case and bring justice to Norman Gilmore and his family.
