Yolanda Marie Hart Dupree, a 35-year-old African American woman, was tragically killed on August 26, 2007, in her home in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The Rocky Mount Police received a call around 2:16 a.m. that Sunday, leading them to the 700 block of Salisbury Drive. Upon arrival, authorities found Yolanda Dupree in the kitchen with two shotgun wounds, one in the chest and the other in the abdomen.
