Tonya Boyd, a 43-year-old African American woman, was tragically shot and killed outside her home in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, on October 31, 2016. The incident occurred as she was escorting her younger child to the bus stop near the intersection of Westry Road and Primrose Place.
