On February 16, 2019, 65-year-old Sandra Faye Epps, a woman from Rocky Mount, North Carolina, was found unresponsive at her residence on Windsor Drive. Authorities responded to a Shot Spotter activation just before 1:00 a.m. and discovered Epps suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
