Lashaun Chaquita Evans, a 44-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on April 30, 2022, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. On that fateful night, just after 11 PM, shots were fired into her residence at 320 Middle St. An unknown assailant fired multiple rounds from outside the house, and one of the bullets struck Lashaun. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries.
