Lashaun Chaquita Evans, a 44-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on April 30, 2022, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. On that fateful night, just after 11 PM, shots were fired into her residence at 320 Middle St. An unknown assailant fired multiple rounds from outside the house, and one of the bullets struck Lashaun. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries.
The Rocky Mount Police Department has been actively investigating this case.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and the identity of the shooter remains unknown. The authorities have been urging anyone with information to come forward, and a reward of up to $15,000 has been offered for any tips that lead to an arrest.
