Shwanica Small, a 37-year-old woman from Spring Hope, North Carolina, was tragically killed on the night of November 11, 2014, in Rocky Mount. The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. at 1222 Liberty Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Shwanica Small deceased and Dante Johnson, a 21-year-old man from Rocky Mount, wounded with non-life-threatening injuries. Johnson was treated at UNC Nash Hospital and subsequently released.
