James Oxendine, a 48-year-old Native American male, was found shot to death near Maxton, North Carolina, on March 10, 2015. The Robeson County Sheriff's Office launched an investigation into his death, which was ruled a homicide. The circumstances surrounding his death were initially unclear, but it was later revealed that he had been shot multiple times.
