On March 16, 2024, at approximately 11 a.m., deputies from the Robeson County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting at a residence on Finch Road in Maxton, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered 33-year-old Daquan Smith deceased inside the home.
