Mitch Oxendine, a 35-year-old male from Maxton, NC, was found dead on November 30, 2014. His body, along with those of Teddy Maynor, 34, and John Freeman, 43, was discovered in the woods behind a home on McLeod Drive in Maxton. Oxendine and Freeman were shot in the head, while Maynor was shot twice in the back. The area where the bodies were found, known as "Little Swamp," is notorious for parties and drug activity.
