Cory Allen Furr, a 20-year-old male from Maxton, North Carolina, was tragically shot and killed on July 18, 2015. The incident occurred at 2674 Red Hill Road in Maxton, where Cory was found dead in the backyard of his girlfriend's residence. According to the Robeson County Sheriff's Office, Cory had exchanged gunfire with another individual who had come to the residence. The caliber of the firearm used in the shooting was not specified.
