On September 7, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Maxton, North Carolina, resulting in the death of 18-year-old Jalyric Semaj O'Bryan Jones. The Robeson County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a shooting in the early hours of Thursday, September 7, at approximately 12:51 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to the 1100 block of Old Red Springs Road, where they discovered Jalyric Jones deceased at the scene.
