Kendrick McGirt, a 17-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 23, 2016, in Maxton, North Carolina. Kendrick was a senior at Scotland High School and was eagerly anticipating his graduation. He was found dead in his home on Hasty Road, about eight miles south of Laurinburg. The manner in which Kendrick died has not been publicly disclosed by investigators.
