Shane Simpson, a 16-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on December 20, 2015, in Wilmington, North Carolina. The incident occurred at the intersection of Castle and 11th streets, where Simpson and five other individuals were walking when they were struck by gunfire from a passing sedan.
