Roderick Jinwright, a 29-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on August 10, 2016, near New Hanover High School's football practice field in Wilmington, North Carolina. On that fateful evening, Wilmington Police received several calls and a shotspotter notification for gunfire in the 1200-block of Ann Street.
