Jinwright was en route to a friend's wake when he was fatally shot. Despite the efforts of law enforcement, the case remains unsolved, and no arrests have been made in connection with his murder.

Crime Stoppers of the Lower Cape Fear has offered a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the murderer.
