Albert Brice Shelton Jr., a 37-year-old male of African American ethnicity from Salisbury, NC, tragically died on December 17, 2016, from a gunshot wound. Initially, the emergency call reported a possible cardiac arrest, but upon arrival, police discovered that Shelton had been shot. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning in the 700 block of Victory Street.
Following the investigation, Jamar Rahmel Robinson, a 28-year-old male from Statesville, NC, was arrested in
connection with Shelton's murder. Robinson was charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was taken into custody at his residence and held without bond, awaiting his court appearance.
