On August 10, 2017, Marston Collins, a 74-year-old man from Fayetteville, NC, was tragically shot and killed in his home on the 2000 block of Rosehill Road. The incident occurred early in the morning, and when Fayetteville police responded to a call about a gunshot victim, they discovered Collins' body. Cynthia Evette Anderson, a 38-year-old woman who was Collins' roommate, was charged with first-degree murder in connection with his death.
