A man dies during an altercation
On December 13, 2013, 35-year-old Geray Christiaan Campbell was found fatally shot in the streets of north Minneapolis. The incident occurred just before 11 p.m. in the 3700 block of Girard Avenue North, a residential area near Folwell Park. Campbell, a resident of St. Paul, was shot multiple times, and despite a swift response, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
