On a Friday night in Minneapolis, the life of 18-year-old Mark Antonio Profit, an African-American male, was cut short by gunfire. The shooting occurred on September 25, 2015, just after 10 p.m. in the Willard-Hay neighborhood of North Minneapolis. Officers were drawn to the 1800 block of Newton Avenue North by a ShotSpotter activation, and upon arrival, they discovered a grim scene.
