On April 14, 2021, 29-year-old Alvin Norwood Jr., a male of African American ethnicity, was found shot to death inside a car at Leigh Farm Park in Durham, NC. The discovery was made by a group of day campers who arrived at the park and noticed a car on the side of the road with someone inside.
