Death by Force

Jeremiah Tobias Dixon, a 19-year-old African American male from Durham, North Carolina, was tragically shot and killed on June 14, 2022. The incident occurred on U.S. Highway 15-501 near Pickett Road around 8:30 p.m. Dixon was driving northbound when shots were fired from another vehicle traveling in the same direction. The police found Dixon shot inside his car, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The roadway was closed for several hours as police investigated the shooting.
