On January 28, 2017, 30-year-old Stacy Nichols Jr. was fatally shot outside the Emerald City Ultra Bar and Lounge in Durham, North Carolina. The shooting occurred in the early morning hours, and two other individuals—a man and a woman—were seriously injured in the attack.
