Lester Cruz Acevedo, a 42-year-old man, tragically lost his life on November 8, 2021, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred on the northern border of the Sugar Creek Community Park, where Acevedo was shot while driving. Despite his injuries, he managed to drive to a nearby gas station on Sugar Creek Road, where he was found around 11:20 p.m. by a passerby who called 911. Acevedo was then transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
