In the fading light of a Wednesday afternoon in Charlotte, North Carolina, the life of 23-year-old Elijah Vashon Parker was brought to an abrupt and violent end. On January 14, 2026, Parker was found deceased, having sustained at least one gunshot wound in an outdoor area near the 300 block of Alpha Mill Lane, in proximity to the CSX railroad tracks. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call shortly after 3:30 p.m. and discovered his body.
