In the early morning hours of October 3, 2022, on the 5800 block of Angora Terrace in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the life of 48-year-old Jamica Boston was tragically cut short. Responding to reports of a shooting at 5:18 a.m., Philadelphia Police officers discovered Ms. Boston inside a property, having sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Medical personnel pronounced her deceased at the scene.
Inside the same property, officers also found a second victim, 61-year-old William Hughes.
He had been shot in the eye and was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in critical condition. Despite the efforts of medical staff, Mr. Hughes succumbed to his injuries the following day.
The investigation into the double homicide led to a significant development on January 15, 2023, when a suspect was arrested in connection with the deaths of Ms. Boston and Mr. Hughes. The individual was subsequently charged with murder and other related offenses. The case is currently pending trial. Ms. Boston resided on Hermesprota Drive in Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania.
