In the line of duty, Police Officer Richard James Davidson, a 23-year-old male, lost his life on January 2, 1987, in Shreveport, Louisiana. On that fateful day, Officer Davidson, a three-year veteran of the force, was among the officers responding to a burglary in progress at the Kon Tiki Restaurant located at 5815 Youree Drive.
