In the early morning hours of October 18, 2020, tragedy struck in the Cedar Grove neighborhood of Shreveport, Louisiana, claiming the life of Michael DeAngelo Wilson, a 36-year-old African American male. Just after 4 a.m., gunfire erupted in the 400 block of West 74th Street, leaving Wilson with fatal injuries. He was quickly transported to Ochsner LSU Health Hospital, but tragically, he succumbed to his wounds.
The Caddo Parish Coroner's Office later confirmed his identity through fingerprint comparison and authorized an autopsy.
The violence of that morning also left another victim in its wake. A young girl, asleep in her home, was struck by a stray bullet.
