On a winter evening in Shreveport, Louisiana, the life of 27-year-old Caucasian male, Ronald Edward Dean, a dedicated narcotics officer with the Shreveport Police Department, was cut tragically short. On December 16, 1992, Dean was part of a Street Level Interdiction Team serving a narcotics-related warrant at the Pines Apartments on Line Avenue.
