In the late hours of a Sunday evening in New Orleans, on August 30, 2009, Philip Chacko, a male hotelier, was fatally shot. The violent encounter occurred at approximately 9:40 p.m. inside the Midtown Hotel, an establishment he owned in the 3900 block of Tulane Avenue. Two individuals reportedly entered the hotel and shot Chacko. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
