On June 17, 2023, 15-year-old Malik Duckett was fatally shot in New Orleans, Louisiana. The incident occurred around midnight in the 2600 block of Elder Street near Franklin Avenue in the Gentilly Terrace neighborhood. Responding officers found Malik inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound to his head. He was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
