Wilbert Bias III, a 34-year-old African American male from New Orleans, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on August 22, 2019. He was one of two victims fatally shot in front of the Discount Zone gas station located in the 6700 block of Chef Menteur Highway. The incident occurred around 5 p.m., and both victims were pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office later confirmed Bias's identity along with that of the other victim, 43-year-old Sylvester Snow.
