In the Central City neighborhood of New Orleans, a 13-year-old male named Byron Thomas was fatally shot on the evening of March 15, 2022. The young male was walking to a local store to meet a friend at the corner of South Roman Street and Washington Avenue when gunfire erupted. He was struck by the bullets and died at the scene.

Another adult male, later identified as 21-year-old Sebastian Hubbard, was also killed in the same incident. Family members of Byron Thomas stated that he was an ...
