Donald Joseph Adams Jr., a 29-year-old male, was fatally shot in his New Orleans, Louisiana, home on Thursday, December 20, 2018. Affectionately known as 'Ducky,' he was a beloved figure, remembered for his positive demeanor and unwavering support for the New Orleans Saints. A graduate of McDonogh 35 High School and a former student at Southeastern Louisiana University, Adams was working as a TSA agent at Louis Armstrong International Airport at the time of his death.
His colleagues held a ceremony to honor his memory, presenting his family with a plaque in recognition of his service.
The New Orleans Police Department responded to a call about a shooting in the Little Woods neighborhood and found Adams in his Briarwood Drive home with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. In the wake of his death, his family pleaded with the public for any information that might lead to the apprehension of his killer.
Despite the ongoing investigation and the offer of a reward by Crimestoppers GNO, which was increased by his family, no arrests have been made in connection with the murder of Donald 'Ducky' Adams Jr. The case remains an open investigation, leaving his family and community searching for answers and justice. His mother has expressed her hope that one day the person responsible for her son's death will be brought to justice.
