On the evening of February 28, 2023, tragedy struck in New Orleans when 32-year-old Bradley Andrew Glapion was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 9:28 p.m. at the intersection of Lake Forest Boulevard and Bundy Road. Seventh District officers from the New Orleans Police Department responded to a call of shots fired in the area. Upon their arrival, they discovered a male victim inside a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical services were dispatched to
the scene and transported the victim, later identified as Bradley Glapion, to a local hospital. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he was pronounced deceased. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office later confirmed on March 6 that the cause of death was gunshot-related injuries.
In the months following the shooting, NOPD Homicide Section detectives conducted an investigation that led them to identify Kenneth Saulsberry as the perpetrator. An arrest warrant was subsequently issued for Saulsberry, charging him with one count of second-degree murder. At the time the warrant was issued, Saulsberry was already incarcerated at the Orleans Parish Justice Center in connection with an unrelated shooting incident. On October 24, 2023, he was re-booked on the second-degree murder charge for the death of Bradley Glapion.
