Edward Charles Gurtner III, a 43-year-old male of unspecified ethnicity, tragically passed away on March 27, 2011, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was the manager of Carquest Auto Parts on Airline Highway and was well-loved by his family and community. Gurtner was killed during an armed robbery at the store where he worked. Randy Chaney, another employee at the store, was also killed in the incident.
