In the early evening of April 26, 2019, the life of Deldrian Cox, a 27-year-old Black man, was cut short in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Around 7:11 p.m., police were called to a residence in the 1100 block of North 35th Street, where they found Cox suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crime. Investigators quickly determined that the shooting stemmed from a disagreement between Cox and another individual.
