Jaquon Jasper Pittman, an 18-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 10, 2012, in New Orleans, Louisiana. On that fateful day, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 2400 block of Arts Street. Upon arrival, they discovered Jaquon Jasper Pittman in a backyard, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the chest. Another individual at the scene suffered a graze wound to the arm.
