In the winter of 2013, the life of 17-year-old Demarcus Jones, a male, was tragically cut short in Shreveport, Louisiana. On the evening of Thursday, February 21st, while visiting with friends at a home located in the 800 block of Turner Lane in the Cedar Grove neighborhood, Demarcus was shot. First responders found him with a gunshot wound to his stomach. Despite medical attention, he succumbed to the fatal injury, becoming another young victim of gun violence in the city.
