In the summer of 2022, a domestic argument in Shreveport, Louisiana, ended in the tragic death of 25-year-old Nicholas J. Jackson. The fatal encounter occurred on the evening of Monday, June 13, at a residence in the 500 block of Browning Street in the Cedar Grove neighborhood.
During the dispute, Jackson was shot. He was rushed to the emergency room at Ochsner LSU Health hospital, but the medical staff was unable to save him, and he succumbed to his injuries.
The Caddo Parish Coroner's office later confirmed his identity through fingerprint comparison.
The Shreveport Police Department launched an investigation into the homicide. At the time, authorities stated that the shooting stemmed from a domestic altercation. An autopsy was ordered to be performed to aid in the investigation.
