In the summer of 2014, the life of Davis "Dave" Thibodeaux, a 61-year-old male native of Grand Coteau who had spent most of his years in Lafayette, Louisiana, came to a close. He passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
A graduate of Sunset High School's class of 1970, Thibodeaux went on to complete the machinist program at T.H. Harris Vocational School.
For three decades, he was a familiar face at Honda of Lafayette, where he was employed as a mechanic and also worked in sales. He was known for his skill with his hands and had a passion for fishing.
His passing was mourned by a large family, including his two sons, Jacob "Jake" Thibodeaux and Dustin Thibodeaux, both of Lafayette. He also left behind his mother, Mildred Dugas Thibodeaux, as well as eight sisters and three brothers. He was preceded in death by his father, John Berchman Thibodeaux.
