In the late hours of October 19, 2014, 32-year-old Kimberly Bowman left her home in Hammond, Louisiana, for what her sister believed was a quick trip to a store. A driver for UPS, Bowman had recently gotten engaged and moved to the area. She was born in Georgia but raised in Lacombe. Early on the morning of October 20, 2014, firefighters in New Orleans responded to a vehicle fire in the 2700 block of Desire Parkway.
