On July 11, 2023, Tomika Chapman, a 47-year-old woman, was fatally shot in the Little Woods neighborhood of New Orleans, Louisiana. The incident occurred in the 7900 block of Lehigh Street, where Tomika was found suffering from several gunshot wounds while sitting in her car. She was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
